Job summary

Chick-fil-A Kahului is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead daily kitchen operations, ensure quality, and coach a team across shifts. You will oversee food preparation, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety procedures while upholding Chick-fil-A standards and guest experience.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment. Full-time hours, with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits in Hawaii.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with team members and guests.
• Reliable transportation and ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Strong background in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Everything behind the swinging door during the shift.
• Always delivering crave-able food, in a timely manner, that meets or exceeds Chick-fil-A Quality requirements.
• Coaching the behaviors of all Leaders and Team Members who work in the Kitchen.
• Have a hustle that creates surprisingly fast Speed of Service.
• Attention to detail that ensures preparation and production procedures are followed.
• Execution of systems that ensure a refreshingly clean environment.
• Maintaining a work environment that ensures and promotes food safety.
• Vigilant attention to the organization and appearance of the kitchen.
• Ensuring the kitchen is ready for a Backstage Tour with a four-minute lead time.
• Daily assign kitchen crew to positions and ensure all pickup/delivery orders are made in a timely manner.
• Coaching, evaluating, and providing accountability for all Kitchen Team Members.
• Aligning daily practices of the Kitchen with the Vision of the organization and with the Goals of the organization.
• Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment used in the Kitchen.
• Either repair “in-house” or call appropriate repair person for broken equipment within 24 hours of notification of problem.
• Track and eliminate waste of food.
• Responsible forteam building, and coaching members of the Kitchen Team.
• Responsible for all checklists, truck orders, and produce orders.
