Job summary

SSA Group at Brookfield Zoo is seeking a hands-on kitchen supervisor to lead daily BOH operations, ensure food safety and service standards, and coach staff. The role reports to the Food Service Operations Manager and Executive Chef, with responsibilities spanning prep, staffing, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, superb communication, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment, while upholding SSA policies and driving seamless guest experiences

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to articulate with the General Manager and staff.
• Proven leadership and team-building abilities with a focus on operations.
• Ability to manage multi-tasking, planning, and guest interactions in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees BOH operations and ensures daily prep, staffing, and service standards.
• Maintains safety logs, hygiene, and proper use of knives and slicers.
• Coaches and reviews performance, handles attendance and scheduling, and responds to guest feedback.
