Job summary

Rochester Recovery, part of Sunshine Behavioral Health, is a residential substance use treatment program in Rochester, MN. We are seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead the kitchen team and ensure a nourishing, safe dining experience for our clients.

This role emphasizes team leadership, menu planning, cost control, and strong collaboration with facility leadership to meet dietary needs and program schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Manager's Food Handler's or ServSafe Certification.
• 1-3 years of experience managing a culinary or kitchen department.
• 1-2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience, preferably in a food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, schedule, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a positive, efficient, and accountable work environment.
• Collaborate on developing well-balanced, cost-effective menus that meet clients’ dietary requirements and preferences.
• Ensure efficient kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and timely service.
• Monitor kitchen expenses, track inventory, and order supplies to minimize waste and maintain cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure all food handling, storage, and preparation follow health department regulations and facility policies.
• Work closely with facility leadership to accommodate dietary needs, special requests, and program schedules.
