Member of the BOH management team, compensated on an hourly basis, assisting other managers with shift execution of culinary and kitchen operations in accordance with the Company's Core Values, policies, Food Safety & Sanitation standards, and quality assurance to promote the best guest and employee experience. The KM models and acts in alignment with Legal Sea Foods policies and standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead restaurant BOH shift and BOH Department employees in the absence of a senior BOH manager, ensuring excellent operations including opening and closing duties.
- Handle employee relations issues/concerns and guest complaints during shift when the BOH manager on duty is not present.
- Assist with staffing, including participating in hiring processes.
- Manage job assignments, break rotations, and task delegation during shift when the manager on duty is absent.
- Responsible for product ordering in the absence of the BOH manager on duty.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards as opener/closer.
- Adhere to operational guidelines including food specifications, ticket time obligations, sanitation, allergies, and quality walkthroughs.
- Assist with paperwork and recordkeeping duties, including employee system entries and personnel files.
- Follow and enforce company standards, protocols, and policies, including safety, sanitation, and respectful workplace policies.
- Proficient in all culinary stations, with Lead Cook status or equivalent.
- Well-versed in sanitation inspections and walk-throughs.
- Ability to take direction, delegate effectively, and promote a team atmosphere.
- Possess effective communication skills and proficiency with company systems, including POS and timekeeping.
- Lead by example, demonstrate good judgment, and be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and passing a background check, including criminal history.
Minimum Education & Training
- Knowledge of allergy procedures.
- ServeSafe and CPR certification.
- Training in Guest Relations and Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Prevention.
- Knowledge of Legal Sea Foods menus, inventory, ordering systems, and financial metrics.
