Kitchen Manager

Leadership & Communication

• Communicates with staff in a respectful, professional manner at all times

Food Service & Meal Quality

• Ensures meals are served on time and at correct temperatures
• Follows approved menus and diet orders
• Addresses meal complaints promptly

Therapeutic Diet Compliance

• Ensures all special and therapeutic diets are followed exactly

Sanitation & Food Safety

• Maintains a clean, sanitary kitchen environment
• Proper wear of Beard Guards and Hair restraints
• Ensures:
• Proper food storage and labeling
• Temperature logs are completed accurately

Inventory & Cost Control

• Orders food and supplies efficiently
• Keeps inventory organized and stocked

Emergency Preparedness

• Maintains emergency food and water supplies
• Follows emergency meal plans
• Ensures ability to operate during power outages or disasters

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in healthcare foodservice preferred
• One year management experience in a foodservice or healthcare service industry preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Ability to multitask in regard to preparing, serving, and meeting customer needs
• Demonstrated initiative and desire to promote a teamwork atmosphere

Work Environment:

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to withstand extreme temperatures, hot and cold
• Able to work long hours, including scheduled evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Able to interact positively with all demographics of people
