Job Location: Council Grove, KS 66846
Salary Range: $13.00 - $15.00 Hourly
Hours: 11:00AM to 7:00PM, rotating schedule.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and assembly of meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Serve meals to patients, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are adhered to.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Monitor food inventory and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Help with the delivery of food trays to nursing staff in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and dietitians regarding patient dietary needs and preferences.
- Participate in training and follow all safety and hygiene regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
- Working irregular hours including weekend and special events.

- Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions.
- Push and pull heavy objects.
- Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients.
- Position requires light to moderate work with 50 pounds maximum weight to lift and carry.
- Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma.
- Previous knowledge of food service or healthcare settings is a plus.
- Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Additional Duties
- Promote the mission of the hospital and exemplify it through food hospitality.
- Greet all patients, families and hospital visitors with a positive, cheerful attitude.
- Ensure food preparation for optimal nutrition (including attention to various age groups of patients) and economic handling of food, as well as efficient usage of time.
