Job summary

Chick-fil-A Ruby & Sinto in Washington state seeks a Kitchen Manager to lead Back of House operations, develop shift leaders, and uphold Chick-fil-A standards in Food Safety and Quality.

You will drive food cost controls, inventory, and performance while building a culture of ownership, humility, and excellence across the kitchen team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee Back of House operations with a focus on Food Safety, Food Quality, Food Cost, and Operational Excellence.
  • Develop Kitchen Shift Leaders into confident, capable leaders who can successfully lead shifts and develop others.
  • Build and maintain systems that create consistency across all shifts and dayparts.
  • Own the execution of the restaurant's Food Safety Plan and maintain readiness for health inspections.
  • Ensure Chick-fil-A food quality standards are consistently executed.
  • Monitor food cost, waste, portioning, inventory, and product usage with opportunities for improvement.
  • Coach Team Members and leaders in real time and ensure proper training.

Job Description

At Chick-fil-A Ruby & Sinto, the Kitchen Manager plays a vital role in leading our Back of House operation, developing leaders, and ensuring we consistently deliver safe, high-quality food with excellence.

The Kitchen Manager consistently demonstrates our Core Values, protects and strengthens our culture, and leads with humility, ownership, and excellence. This leader takes ownership of Food Safety, Food Quality, Food Cost, and Kitchen Operations while building a team that is equipped to execute at a high level every day.

This role partners closely with the Owner/Operator and restaurant leadership to establish systems, develop Shift Leaders, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement throughout the kitchen. Success in this role is measured not only by operational results, but by the strength of the leaders they develop and the culture they help create.

Responsibilities

  • Own the execution of the restaurant's Food Safety Plan and maintain readiness for food safety assessments and Health Department inspections
  • Ensure Chick-fil-A food quality standards are consistently executed
  • Monitor food cost, waste, portioning, inventory, and product usage while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain a strong presence in daily operations, coaching Team Members and leaders in real time
  • Partner with the training team to ensure Team Members are properly trained and equipped for success
  • Review operational results, assessments, and guest feedback to identify trends and create action plans
  • Partner with restaurant leadership to improve kitchen productivity, speed of service, cleanliness, and overall performance
  • Create clear expectations and accountability for Team Members and leaders
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and the overall Team Member and guest experience
  • Foster a positive team culture where people feel challenged, supported, and valued
  • Help build leadership depth so the kitchen consistently operates with excellence

  • Previous restaurant or leadership experience is preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures
  • Chick-fil-A experience is preferred but not required
  • Must be available to work 4 opens/closes per week
