Job summary

Nutri-Serve Food Management is seeking an Assistant Manager for a busy K-12 Dining Services setting in New Jersey. You will oversee a kitchen staff of 2, manage ordering and inventory, handle some administrative tasks and uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

Experience in FOH/BOH operations, contract dining, and a strong work ethic with dynamic leadership will help you succeed. Monday–Friday daylight schedule is desired; K-12 dining experience is a strong plus.

This is a new account located Haddon Heights, and we are looking for someone that is going to give the account love and attention it deserves. In this role you will be overseeing a kitchen staff of 2 and managing ordering and inventory of products as well as some additional administrative tasks and basic cleanliness. The kitchen manager will also be leading our Safety program beginning with being an example of how to work safely. As this is a small team, may need to perform cooking/serving/cashering/cleanliness duties based on daily needs. Position requires being able to stand on feet for serveral hours and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

The Manager and Supervisor shares an overall responsibility of food service.He/she institutes company cycle menus and recipes; plans and oversees Patient Food and Café operations, purchasing, employee personnel programs, scheduling, bookkeeping, and customer and client relations; directs through supervision food preparation service and sanitation; and is accountable for the total operation results.
