Position Summary

The Kitchen Manager oversees daily kitchen operations for the assigned building and supports the Building Manager and Assistant Project Manager. Responsibilities include managing food preparation to ensure proper quantities and standards according to the Tri-Service Food Code. Providing quality customer service at all times and demonstrating willingness to learn all aspects of the role are essential.

Role Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in food services or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience supervising or leading teams.
• Experience working with government personnel or contracted services is preferred.
• Must obtain ServeSafe Food Protection Management Certification or DoD equivalent within 90 days.
• Knowledge of Tri-Service Sanitation and Medical standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and perform conversions.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eligibility for work assignment on specified contracts.
• Ability to pass background screenings.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

May involve travel, working indoors, handling chemicals, and working in various weather conditions. May require lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, crouching, climbing stairs/ladders, and working early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.
