Job description

**Position Title:** Kitchen Manager

**Department:** Operations

**Section:** Back of the House

**Supervisor:** General Manager

**Position Summary:**
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for food production and operating the back of the house using Golden Corral products, recipes, procedures, and company systems to ensure standards for quality food, recipes, and cleanliness are achieved.

**Responsibilities:**

  1. Achieve all company standards for products, recipes, cleanliness, and service times; ensure compliance with health and sanitation standards and company policies.
  2. Control food costs through proper ordering, receiving, storing, and production according to specifications.
  3. Meet budgeted food, labor, and controllable costs through planning and execution of Golden Corral Operating Systems.
  4. Ensure high food quality by proper recipe preparation and adherence to standards.
  5. Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and standards for preventive maintenance.
  6. Maintain staffing levels, recruit, train, and retain talented Co-workers.
  7. Develop and train Crew Leaders/Trainers and other team members, conduct performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
  8. Implement new standards, recipes, or system changes and conduct team meetings.
  9. Perform other functions necessary for a positive guest dining experience.

**Qualifications:**

  1. High school diploma required; hospitality degree preferred. Completion of Golden Corral Kitchen Manager in Training program.
  2. Two to three years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant.
  3. Work hours approximately 60 hours/week; physical requirements include standing, walking, occasional lifting, bending, and working with cooking equipment.

**Compensation:** $55,000 - $65,000

**Location:** Fayetteville, AR; Rogers, AR; Bentonville, AR
