Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a high-volume, full-service restaurant in Detroit. You will lead the BOH, train staff, and prepare to step into the Executive Kitchen Manager role as you demonstrate leadership and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include mentoring the BOH, managing labor and food costs, upholding health and sanitation standards, and delivering top-quality food in a fast-paced setting while supporting the Executive Kitchen Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Kitchen Manager or similar role in a restaurant
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience with high-volume, full-service restaurant operations
• Experience managing labor, food, and supplies

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, motivate and develop the BOH team
• Cost management of labor, food, and supplies
• Maintain highest health and sanitation standards
• Ensure high-level food quality in a fast-paced environment

Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, motivate and develop the BOH team
• Cost Management - labor, food, supplies
• Maintain the highest standards for health and sanitation
• Be able to execute a high level of food quality in a fast-paced environment
• Act as the right-hand person to Executive Kitchen Manager

Kitchen Manager Qualifications:

• At least 3+ years as a Kitchen Manager, Assistant Kitchen Manager Or Sous Chef
• Strong corporate restaurant systems experience
• Excellent communication skills and all-around team player
• Strong organizational, problem solving and leadership abilities
• Positive mindset and ability to get along with many different types of people
• Experience working with in an annual volume of $8 Million or higher
