Job summary

Taher, Inc. is a family-owned, chef-driven food service management company specializing in K-12 school lunch programs. We are seeking a Lead Foodservice Worker to join our team and help prepare, serve, and clean up in a school kitchen on a Monday–Friday 6am–2pm schedule.

You will train and supervise staff, ensure food safety and sanitation, and contribute to a positive work environment while delivering nutritious meals to students.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Able to follow spoken and written directions.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Successful completion of background check.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns work to the team and oversees completion of tasks.
• Trains and guides staff on duties, food safety, sanitation, and customer service.
• Prepares and builds food items according to recipes.
• Sets up condiments and utensil areas for service.
• Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes work stations.
• Contributes to a positive work environment and professional appearance.
• Maintains guest service standards and follows food safety guidelines.
• Assists with daily paperwork, ordering, and related tasks.
