Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year (base salary $45,000.00 + bonus potential)

Position Overview

We are hiring a Kitchen Manager for our D.H. Lescombes Winery and Bistro in Albuquerque. The role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and storage.
  2. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  3. Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff.
  4. Maintain high food quality through regular checks and tastings.
  5. Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure excellent guest experiences.
  6. Manage budgets, costs, and labor effectively.
  7. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
  8. Perform performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  9. Handle guest interactions related to food service.
  10. Oversee commissary operations and line checks.
  11. Minimize food waste and ensure inventory accuracy.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as Kitchen Manager, Chef, or in a senior culinary role, preferably in fine dining or winery setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of wine and food pairings is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
