Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn grilling, food prep, and ensuring delicious, safe meals. You will train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders and oversee inventory, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance to support a great guest experience.

You will promote teamwork, follow Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy, and uphold kitchen procedures while delivering high-quality food and fast service in a busy restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively in order to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair malfunctioning equipment quickly.
• Ensure that the kitchen and all Crew members meet guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
