Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to train and mentor Crew, oversee food preparation and quality, and ensure a clean, organized kitchen that operates safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

As a Kitchen Leader, you will coach Crew members, manage inventory, uphold Chipotle’s standards for safety and quality, and contribute to a memorable guest experience each shift. This role offers growth opportunities within a values-driven, people-first company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair malfunctioning equipment quickly.
• Ensure the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and FIFO inventory procedures.
