Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Norfolk, VA seeks a Kitchen Leader to learn and perform food preparation, grill meats, and sauté vegetables, while training Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders. You’ll ensure quality and safety, while keeping the kitchen clean, stocked, and well maintained as a role model for teamwork and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
• High school diploma is required.
• Restaurant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels and resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house crews.
• Develop crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with crew and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitized.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and address malfunctions quickly.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO inventory documentation.
