Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to master food preparation, lead a fast-paced kitchen, and train Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders. You will ensure quality, safety, and inventory while promoting teamwork and a great guest experience.

As a Kitchen Leader, you will supervise cooking, monitor waste, and maintain clean, organized facilities. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and developing the team to sustain Chipotle’s standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Restaurant experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Crew and customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor waste and inventory, resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; report malfunctions quickly.
• Ensure safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and FIFO inventory procedures.
