Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Champaign, IL is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while training Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders. You will ensure delicious, properly prepared dishes and maintain a clean, stocked kitchen to support a great customer experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and quality, with responsibilities from inventory to equipment upkeep and MSDS/FIFO tasks.

Qualifications

• Must understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Must be able to speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
• High school diploma.
• Restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair when needed.
• Ensure the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to avoid injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
