Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Leader who will learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while upholding food safety and quality standards. You’ll train Crew members, monitor inventory, and help ensure a clean, well stocked kitchen and a positive customer experience.

This role emphasizes teamwork, hands-on leadership, and supporting the next generation of Kitchen Leaders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues.
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back-of-house Crew and front-of-house Crew.
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicating with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensuring the kitchen is clean and sanitized.
• Maintaining and repairing kitchen equipment to keep it in good condition.
• Ensuring safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Filling out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
