Bareburger in Avon, CT is hiring a Kitchen Lead to help manage the Back of House team. The role requires culinary and management experience, a proactive, motivating approach, and willingness to assist with prep work, service line work, and expediting while delegating tasks.

You will hire and train staff, manage inventory and schedules, coordinate with managers, and ensure food quality and adherence to menu standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid Certification in Food Protection is required.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience creating production par levels and managing purchases to budget.
• Experience with labor cost management and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Order supplies and manage inventory based on demand.
• Hire, onboard and train kitchen staff; cross-train as needed.
• Create staff schedules to meet demand across shifts.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and space; oversee maintenance.
