Job summary

Goddard Riverside is seeking a Kitchen Maintenance worker to support the daily cleaning and operation of our kitchen and pantry. You will wash dishes, sanitize equipment, assist with basic food prep, and help maintain a safe, orderly workspace in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes strict sanitation, timely task completion, and teamwork with kitchen staff. Ability to lift heavy items and work flexible hours, including holiday coverage, is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environments.
• Ability to follow DOHMH health, safety, sanitation procedures.
• Food Handler Certificate or Food Protection Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.
• Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen tasks.
• Support pantry operations, including stocking and inventory rotation.
