Job summary

National Star Services is seeking Kitchen Helpers for our Des Plaines, IL location to support airline catering operations. This temp-to-hire role involves assisting chefs with food preparation, plating, and setting up airline catering trays while ensuring cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.

The shift is 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday through Sunday with two days off during the week. Upon successful performance, there is potential for long-term employment.

Qualifications

• Two valid forms of IDs required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Slip-resistant shoes required for safety.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to start working as soon as possible.

• Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, cutting fruits and vegetables, and setting up airline catering trays.
• Read, understand and follow menu specifications.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and tidy and maintain hygiene standards.
• Comply with safety, quality and sanitation standards at all times.

National Star Services is a 28-year-old facility management company providing different services all nationwide and we are now in search of Kitchen Helpers for our location in Des Plaines, IL 60018. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Be part of a team, creating high-end products served daily to hundreds of international airline guests!
• Assist chefs and cooks with different tasks in the kitchen: food preparation, cutting fruits and vegetables, preparing small dishes, food platting and setting up airline catering trays.
• Read, understand and follow menu specifications.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and tidy.
• Comply with hygiene, quality and safety standards at all times.

Schedule:

Monday - Sunday (Two days off during the week) 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Weekend availability required

Hourly Pay Rate:

$17.50/hr. Bi-WEEKLY PAY

Requirements:

• Must have two updated valid forms of IDs.
