Job summary

Pennyrile Allied Community Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to support meals, dining services, and therapeutic-diet preparations at our California facility. You will follow recipes, assist with tray lines, and help ensure safe, clean foodservice operations daily.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and adherence to background checks and pre-employment screening. High school diploma preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 40 lbs as part of daily tasks.
• Bend and reach to organize shelves and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals, clear and wash dishes, wipe tables and perform other cleaning tasks.
• Set tray line and assist with tray line preparation.
• Assist in meal and dessert preparation.
• Prepare food items following recipes and menus, including therapeutic diets.
• Ensure daily food production meets facility needs and residents’ dietary requirements.
• Store, date and label leftovers.
• Wash dishes, pots and pans and clean kitchen areas.
• Return trays and dining items to storage areas.
• Set dining room tables and maintain dining areas clean and orderly.
