Job Description

The role involves deep cleaning and washing of walls, ceilings, baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables, and cutting boards, as well as flatware, pots, and pans. Responsibilities include sweeping and mopping floors, breaking down and cleaning equipment, and transporting dishes, flatware, pots, pans, and garbage. The position also entails polishing silver, flatware, and brass as needed, and transporting food products, supplies, and ware washing items to and from designated areas.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain a fresh, positive, and exciting environment emphasizing sanitation, flawless delivery, and product excellence.
2. Establish and uphold the highest sanitation and guest service standards.
3. Organize and maintain work areas and assignments.
4. Follow all health codes (State, Federal, OSHA) and company guidelines.
5. Communicate effectively with supervisors verbally and in writing.
6. Assist in training new employees.
7. Work steadily and accurately, paying attention to detail.
8. Ensure compliance with health department codes and departmental policies.
9. Maintain a positive work environment.
10. Assist in other areas as directed or assigned.
11. Properly sort and handle dishes, flatware, pots, and pans during cleaning and storage.
12. Wash, sort, and store kitchen equipment and utensils appropriately.
13. Clean walls, ceilings, baseboards, floor drains, sinks, tables, and cutting boards.
14. Sweep and mop all floors.
15. Transport garbage from all kitchen areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle strong chemicals and cleaners properly, including storage and disposal.
• Continuous standing and walking on various floor surfaces.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift heavy carts and products.
• Maintain mental alertness and eye/hand coordination.
• Perform repetitive motions and various physical movements such as stooping, bending, reaching.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
