Fairhaven is seeking a dependable and friendly Cooks helper to support our kitchen team and ensure a smooth, positive dining experience for residents. The role supports meal prep, dishwashing, and kitchen cleanliness in a hospice-like environment dedicated to senior living.

The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and respectful interactions with residents. It operates in a healthcare setting with regular shifts, including weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Dependable and punctual.
• Friendly and able to communicate effectively in English.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a Christian retirement community.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks with meal preparation.
• Deliver meals to residents in Harbor East.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Keep the kitchen, storage areas, and workspaces clean and organized.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Follow sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.
• Interact respectfully and positively with residents and coworkers.
• Use kitchen equipment and supplies safely.
