Job summary

Fairhaven is seeking an experienced Cook to join our Food Services team at a Christian retirement community in Rockford, IL. The role supports both full-time (37.5 hours/week, 5:30 AM–1:30 PM) and part-time (20 hours/week) schedules, with some flexibility.

Pay ranges from $17.30 to $18.75 per hour, plus benefits. Responsibilities include preparing meals, ensuring timely service, following therapeutic diets, monitoring temps, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment while providing

• Keep the kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean and sanitized.
• Manage food substitutions, supplements, and leftover food appropriately.
• Maintain attractive food presentation.
• Provide friendly service and help create a welcoming, home-like environment for residents.
• Protect resident privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, infection control, and Fairhaven policies.
