Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc. is hiring for an on-site, weekday kitchen position at Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools in Sioux Falls. The role focuses on food prep, serving menu items, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

You will follow recipes, assist with inventory, and work with a team to deliver nutritious meals during the school day. The role offers a daytime Monday–Friday schedule with good growth opportunities in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
• Dependability, integrity, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Help prep and serve menu items and keep your station stocked.
• Follow simple recipes and maintain kitchen cleanliness using FIFO.
• Maintain food safety, complete basic logs, and assist with production records.
• Communicate supply needs, feedback, and updates to the team.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and assist with prep lists.
• Jump in to help teammates and train new team members when needed.

Location: On-site at Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am-1:30pm

What You’ll Do

• Help prep and serve menu items, keep your station stocked, and follow serving-size and special-diet guidelines.
• Follow simple recipes like fruit and veggie bars or baked goods while keeping kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean and organized using FIFO.
• Maintain food safety and compliance Follow food-safety steps, complete basic logs, assist with production records and help maintain a safe workspace.
• Communicate supply needs, feedback, and updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and help with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed from helping teammates, training new team members and assisting when someone is out.
