Lunchtime Solutions is hiring a dependable Kitchen Helper at Hastings School District. You’ll help prep simple menu items, serve students, and keep the kitchen clean and organized in a collaborative, student‑focused environment.

This on‑site daytime role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, the chance to contribute to nutritious meals, and a supportive team. You’ll gain valuable food service experience, with opportunities for growth and benefits including a meal each shift.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and adapt quantities for large batches.
• Dependability and integrity in a school food service setting.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing, bending, and other tasks.

Responsibilities

• Help prep and serve menu items, keep station stocked, and follow serving guidelines.
• Follow simple recipes and maintain clean storage areas and equipment using FIFO.
• Maintain food safety and complete basic logs as required.
• Communicate supply needs, feedback, and updates to the team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and assist with prep lists.
• Jump in to help teammates, train new staff, and assist when someone is out.

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team‑focused Kitchen Helper to join our school food service program. In this role you’ll keep meal service running smoothly by helping prep simple menu items, serving students, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. It’s an active, team‑focused role that makes a real impact on students’ day.

What You’ll Do

• Help prep and serve menu items, keep your station stocked, and follow serving‑size and special‑diet guidelines.
• Follow simple recipes like fruit and veggie bars or baked goods while keeping kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean and organized using FIFO.
• Maintain food safety and compliance Follow food‑safety steps, complete basic logs, assist with production records and help maintain a safe workspace.
• Communicate supply needs, feedback, and updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and help with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed from helping teammates, training new team members and assisting when someone is out.
