Job summary

Rosie’s Gaming Emporium – Vinton is seeking a Kitchen Crew member to handle medium complexity hot and cold prep, plating, and beverage accompaniments according to recipes. You’ll greet guests, assist in dining area, and help with cashier duties and upselling.

Role requires high school diploma or equivalent, 1-3 years related experience, Serv-Safe certification, and racing license. Candidates must be prepared for night/weekend shifts and comply with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Greets each guest upon arrival; receives payment and handles cashiering per standards.
• Sets up cash drawer and ensures ready cash for shifts.
• Ensures front-of-house supplies are stocked and ready for service.
• Maintains accurate cash handling, processes transactions, and issues receipts.
• Closes register and tallies drawer, completes necessary paperwork.
• Works various roles (cooking, cashiering, serving, bussing, dishwashing) as needed.
• Maintains safety, sanitation, and cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Prepares hot and cold items according to recipes and prep sheets.
• Coordinates advance prep using forecasts and headcounts.
• Inspects food quality and presentation before service.
• Cleans and maintains dishes and kitchen areas; handles waste appropriately.
• Follows safety procedures for lifting, knife usage, and equipment operation.
