JAX Mercantile invites you to join our Fort Collins store as a Sales Associate. You will greet customers, answer questions honestly, and suggest products that match their needs while helping keep the department clean and well-stocked.

Responsibilities include stocking shelves, helping with displays, and assisting in inventory. Prior cashier experience is a plus, and we value teamwork, professionalism, and a friendly, helpful attitude.

Qualifications

• Our ideal candidate has prior customer service experience, and is willing to pitch in where needed.
• Engaging and positive demeanor; enthusiasm for cooking, gifts, hosting events, and kids' toys.
• Cashiering experience is desired; experience with brands carried by JAX is a plus.

Responsibilities

Or make a coffee drink, serve some ice cream, and otherwise make our shoppers feel at home while exploring the store! Our Sales Associates are responsible for greeting customers, providing honest and informative answers to questions, making suggestions about products that customers might want, and performing necessary tasks for efficient department operation. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, tracking down products for customers, keeping the department tidy, relaying customer feedback to their manager, and assisting with visual merchandising of products in the store. Additional tasks may include:

• Accurately processing payments
• Helping with displays and visual merchandising
• Maintaining a clean and well-stocked area
• Learning about products to provide better answers to customer questions
• Assisting in loss prevention efforts
• Communicating professionally
• Presenting a professional appearance and demeanor
• Taking steps to advance teamwork and develop solid working relationships with co-workers
• Assisting in inventory responsibilities

Our ideal candidate has prior customer service experience, and is willing to pitch-in where needed. Additional knowledge, skills or abilities include:

• Engaging and positive
• Enthusiasm and interest in cooking, gift-giving, hosting events, and finding toys for kids required!
• Experience in making coffee drinks or Serve Safe certification desired
• Previous knowledge or experience with brands carried by JAX preferred

Schedule Requirements:

• Must be available Weekends
• Flexible shifts available

Pay Range:

$15.16 - $16.25 hourly
