Job summary

JAX Mercantile Co. in Broomfield, CO is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to greet customers, share product knowledge, and drive sales for our Outdoor Gear, Farm & Ranch location.

You’ll help with merchandising, stock counts, transactions, and customer feedback to keep shelves well stocked and customers happy. The ideal candidate brings prior customer service experience, is comfortable with cashiering, and works well in a team while staying organized, cheerful, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Join our local, family-owned company as a Sales Associate in our JAX Outdoor Gear, Farm & Ranch location in Broomfield, CO.Make someone's day by sharing your enthusiasm and excitement about the best fit and look for clothing suited for the work and/or outdoor adventures of our customers at JAX!

Our Sales Associates are responsible for greeting customers, providing honest and informative answers to questions, making suggestions about products that customers might want, and performing necessary tasks for efficient department operation. All JAX employees are expected to provide excellent customer service, engaging with people and sharing excitement about our store. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, assisting the Department Manager, and providing customer feedback to Department Managers and the Buyers Team so our stores remain stocked with only the best products our customers have come to expect from JAX. Additional tasks may include:

• Accurately processing payments
• Helping with visual merchandising
• Maintaining a clean and well-stocked area
• Complete record-keeping tasks and contributing to reports
• Learning about products to provide better answers to customer questions
• Assisting in loss prevention efforts
• Communicating professionally
• Presenting a professional appearance and demeanor
• Taking steps to advance teamwork and develop solid working relationships with co-workers
• Assisting in inventory responsibilities

Our ideal candidate has prior customer service experience, and is willing to pitch-in where needed. Additional knowledge, skills or abilities include:

• Previous knowledge or experience with clothing brands carried by JAX preferred
• Experience gearing up for hunting or outdoor work helpful
• Cashiering experience desired
• Computer proficiency required

Schedule Requirements:

• Must be available Weekends
• Flexible shifts available

Pay Range:

$15.16 - $16.25 hourly
