Based in Rockville, MD, with an additional office in Baltimore, MD, our team designs, installs, and inspects fire alarms, sprinkler systems, kitchen fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and kitchen hood/duct systems. About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Kitchen Fire Suppression Technician responsible for servicing, inspecting, and repairing kitchen suppression systems for commercial clients. The role requires availability for scheduled work and on-call rotation.

Compensation

• Hourly pay based on experience
• Potential quarterly bonuses
• Overtime pay for hours between 6 pm and 5 am at time and a half
• Minimum 4-hour pay at time and a half for emergency calls
• Holiday pay at double time for emergency calls, plus 8 hours of holiday pay

Job Duties

• Inspect and repair fire suppression systems from manufacturers like ANSUL, Pyro Chem, Range Guard, and Piranha
• Understand NFPA, manufacturer, and local fire codes
• Perform emergency troubleshooting on-site
• Identify code non-conformance issues
• Maintain documentation and perform fire marshal tests
• Participate in on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with ≤3 points
• At least 3 years of licensed driving experience
• Over 2 years of inspecting restaurant fire suppression systems
• Knowledge of NFPA codes
• Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, mornings, and weekends
• Comfort working on ladders and lifts
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in confined spaces
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Organizational skills for managing service tickets and documentation
