As the Kitchen Expeditor at Army Navy Country Club, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, monitor, and track kitchen tickets to maintain an efficient flow of service.
- Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure orders are complete and accurate.
- Garnish and inspect dishes for proper presentation and quality.
- Run finished food to tables and assist the service team as needed.
- Prepare and replenish basic garnishes and perform minor food-prep tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient expo station.
- Communicate timing, special requests, and issues clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and restaurant standards.
Qualifications:
- Restaurant experience is not required but is highly recommended.
- Understanding dietary restrictions including allergies, cross-contamination, and special requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, and pescatarian (ServSafe certified is a plus).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with guests, members, and co-workers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple orders at once.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both culinary and front-of-house teams.
- Dependable, professional, and committed to providing excellent service.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
- The ability to conduct business in a professional manner via interpersonal communication within the culinary team as well as all other departments.
Compensation:
- $16–$18 per hour, depending on experience
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
