Job summary

Kitchen Guard is seeking an overnight exhaust cleaning technician to perform hands‑on cleaning of commercial kitchen exhaust systems. You will follow checklists, document work, and leave sites compliant and secure.

Must pass a background check, have a valid driver’s license, and be prepared for overnight shifts in a two‑person crew. We offer uniforms, opportunities for advancement, and a bonus based on performance, with ongoing training and development to support growth in the field of fire

Role Overview

This is a hands‑on execution role. Technicians clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems to standard, follow checklists, document work accurately, and leave sites clean, compliant, and secure. The role fits reliable, detail‑oriented operators who prefer clear expectations and structured work.

What You Will Do

• Clean hoods, ductwork, filters, and rooftop exhaust fans
• Set up and break down pressure washing and containment equipment
• Follow safety procedures and job checklists
• Capture required photos and videos documenting completed work
• Load, unload, and maintain equipment and supplies
• Work as part of a two-person crew with limited supervision
• Drive a company vehicle as required (valid driver’s license required)

Schedule & Hours

• Overnight work only
• Typical check-in: 9:30–11:00 PM
• Typical check-out: 6:00–7:00 AM
• Overtime is variable and not guaranteed

Physical Requirements

• Climb ladders and access rooftops
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Stand and work on feet for 8–10 hours
• Work in tight or elevated spaces
• Maintain attention to detail during repetitive tasks

Qualifications

• Hood cleaning, pressure washing, or restaurant experience preferred, not required
• Prior night-shift experience a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reporting location
• Ability to follow written procedures precisely
• Must pass a background check

Compensation & Benefits

• $18–$22/hour, based on experience
