Job summary

The University of Oklahoma is seeking a kitchen staff member for Cross Village Restaurants, OU's newest dining concept. You will prepare food following recipes, ensure proper portion control, and assist in serving customers across various concepts including stir fry, barbecue, vegan and home-style dishes.

Work varies by business needs with potential nights and weekends; Hepatitis A vaccine or antibody testing may be required, and a Cleveland County Food Handler Card within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• 6 months of restaurant kitchen/cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food following recipes and portion control standards.
• Safely measure, weigh and combine ingredients for quantity preparation.
• Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to prepare items and serve to customers.
• Assist with events and catering across campus as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen.
