Job summary

The Limestone County Board of Education seeks a CNP Maintenance/Equipment Repair Worker to repair and maintain all commercial kitchen equipment for the Child Nutrition Program, and to maintain the interior of each kitchen and cafeteria. The role requires five years of related experience, a refrigeration certification, and a valid Alabama driver's license.

The position involves overtime, some emergency work, and the Limestone County CNP will provide a van with fuel and insurance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Five years’ experience repairing and installing commercial gas and electrical kitchen equipment.
• Five years’ experience in interior commercial building maintenance.
• State certification for refrigeration systems.
• Valid Alabama driver’s license.
• Physically able to climb ladders and move heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all CNP kitchen equipment as scheduled.
• Troubleshoot problems with any CNP kitchen equipment.
• Prioritize repairs in all CNP kitchens.
• Order, obtain, and install all repair parts.
• Maintain equipment inventory and maintenance history on all equipment.
• Respond to the temperature monitoring system as needed.
• Perform refrigeration maintenance for various units and systems.
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical maintenance on related equipment.
