Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago - North Shore Conference Center is seeking a Hotel Dishwasher to support our kitchen and food & beverage operations, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization so the culinary TEAM can deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Reliability, a positive attitude, and strong attention to detail are essential, with opportunities to grow through our internal Management Development Program and potential advancement within the hotel.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel, restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred; we are willing to train the right person.
• Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Positive attitude and willing to be part of a TEAM.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Must be available for a part-time mornings schedule.
• Flexible availability for weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Basic English communication skills sufficient to understand instructions and communicate with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate commercial dishwashing and kitchen equipment safely and properly.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen work areas.
• Keep dishwashing areas, sinks, floors, and equipment clean throughout the shift.
• Sort and remove trash and recycling and transport it to designated areas.
• Clean and sanitize garbage and waste containers as needed.
• Maintain adequate supplies of clean dishes, utensils, and equipment for kitchen and food & beverage operations.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned.
• Follow all food safety, health, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Work cooperatively with the culinary and food & beverage TEAM.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities
