Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Dishwasher to support our Food & Beverage operations by providing clean cookware and tableware for outlets and meetings. The role offers growth by learning multiple outlets and processes within our hotel settings.

Responsibilities include maintaining health standards, organizing dish areas, and supporting service staff while adhering to safety and cleanliness protocols. Flexible scheduling and teamwork are essential traits for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean cookware and tableware to outlets and meeting rooms.
• Clean all cookware and tableware to meet health and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of floors and equipment.
• Sort silverware and return to proper area.
• Ensure all glasses are placed in proper racks and returned.
• Stock clean plates and pans for service.
• Break down and deep clean dish machine as needed.
• Remove and clean dishes from Server area (AM/PM shifts).

The Dishwasher plays a pivotal role in our Food & Beverage operation by providing our outlets with clean and organized cookware and tableware. By developing multiple skill sets and learning about various outlets’ operations, the Dishwasher position provides the foundations on which you can build a successful Food & Beverage career.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Deliver clean cookware and tableware to various outlets and meeting rooms
• Clean all cookware and tableware to meet hotel and Health and Safety Standards
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards by ensuring floors and equipment are clean and arranged according to Food and Beverage specifications.
• Separate all silverware and return to proper area
• Ensure all glasses are placed in proper glass racks and returned to proper area
• Ensure pots, pans, and china storage racks are cleaned,organized and properly stored.
• Remove trash, and clean trash cans daily
• Sweep and mop floors in dish area throughout shift
• Clear and Clean all Queen Marys after Banquet Functions
• Stock clean plates & sauté pans on the line for service
• Break down and deep clean dish machine (inside & out)
• Check Hot Boxes (clean as needed)
• De-Lime dish machine (as directed and per schedule)
• Remove and clean dishes from Server area (AM and PM shifts)
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/ manager.
• Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/ manager

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to understand, and speak basic English, to effectively take direction and communicate with management and other Team Members.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding, in carrying out instructions
• Ability to comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variation.
• Must be available to work flexible shifts, including Holidays.
• Must be able to work without constant supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand for long periods of time on hard surface; using arms, hands and legs repetitively; handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is frequently required to walk, balance, talk, hear and smell. Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals, warm temperature and be exposed to various food products.
• Must be able to utilize cleaning chemicals in the daily course of responsibilities
• Must regularly be able to carry and balance up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Must be capable of effectively using close vision, distance vision, color vision and sense of smell.
• Able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
