Tague Lumber in Malvern is seeking an experienced Kitchen Designer to join our showroom team. This full-time role emphasizes face-to-face consultative selling with builders, remodelers, and homeowners to craft customized kitchen designs and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of professional experience in kitchen and bath design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related discipline.
  • Proficiency with 20/20 design software or AutoCAD is required.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize manufacturer-specific product software.
  • Strong expertise in design estimating and sales, with collaboration with contractors and homeowners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Must work in-person, Monday–Friday.

About this position

Description: Tague Lumber is seeking an experienced full-time Kitchen Designer to join our Malvern Sowroom team. In this role, you will work directly with prospective clients in a beautifully appointed showroom, collaborating to understand their needs and create customized kitchen designs. The Kitchen Designer’s primary focus is face-to-face consultative selling with professional builders, remodelers, and their customers, delivering thoughtful solutions and an exceptional customer experience.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct client consultations to provide expert guidance on kitchen and bath design projects.
  • Educate, guide, and recommend products and project solutions aligned with each client’s design goals.
  • Balance a strong sales focus with an understanding of margin expectations and overall profitability.
  • Maintains accurate, detailed project documentation, including meeting notes and design drawings.
  • Produce professional layouts using applicable design software (e.g., 20/20).
  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including site meausres, order entry, contract documentation, delivery scheduling, and follow-up.
  • Develop design solutions for both residential and select commercial projects.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in kitchen and bath design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency with 20/20 design software or AutoCAD is required.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize manufacturer-specific product software.

  • Must work in-person, Monday - Friday.
