Job summary

Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort in Deadwood, SD, is seeking an experienced cook to join our kitchen team. You will assist with stocking stations, prepare and plate a variety of dishes, and work closely with servers to fulfill orders on time. Training from the senior chef will guide your plating and quality control.

We value teamwork, adherence to recipes, and strict food-safety standards. High school diploma required; 2+ years cooking experience; ServeSafe certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years' experience as a Cook in the restaurant industry.
• Able to read and follow standardized recipes.
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
• ServeSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations.
• Prepare food including cleaning, cutting ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks.
• Plate prepared foods per senior chef guidance.
• Work with servers to ensure timely orders.
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and utensils; store equipment after shifts.
• Ensure kitchen procedures meet food safety standards.
