LIV Hospitality's Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort in Deadwood, SD is hiring an experienced Cook to join our busy kitchen team. You will assist with stocking, prep, and cooking a range of dishes, read and follow recipes, and ensure timely service in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to read and follow standardized recipes.

• ServeSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stocking and setup of kitchen stations.
• Prepare food, including cleaning, cutting ingredients, and cooking items.
• Plate prepared foods under senior chef guidance.
• Work with servers to ensure orders are accurate and on time.
• Wash and clean kitchen and utensils; store equipment after shifts.
• Maintain hygiene and meet food safety standards.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
• Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required
• 2+ years' experience as a Cook in the restaurant industry
• Able to read and follow standardized recipes

• Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere

Skills

• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during our dining hours
• Maintain accurate food inventories
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
• Rotate stock items as per established procedures
• Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
