Great food starts with a great team behind it.

Chick-fil-A The Shoppes at Bartlett is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Kitchen team for afternoon, evening, and closing shifts.

Kitchen Team Members are responsible for preparing the food our guests know and love while maintaining high standards for quality, food safety, cleanliness, and consistency.

No previous restaurant experience is required. We'll teach you our kitchen systems, equipment, recipes, and food-safety procedures through hands-on training.

If you enjoy staying active, working with a team, and taking pride in doing things the right way, this may be a great fit for you.

Inside Our Kitchen

Kitchen Team Members work together across several positions to keep the restaurant running efficiently.

Depending on your training and position, you may:

  • Prepare, cook, assemble, and stock food according to Chick-fil-A standards
  • Bread chicken by hand and prepare products for cooking
  • Operate pressure fryers, open fryers, grills, and other kitchen equipment after completing required training
  • Follow established recipes, portion sizes, cooking procedures, and quality standards
  • Read screens and order information accurately to prepare the correct products
  • Monitor food quality and freshness throughout the shift
  • Complete required temperature checks and follow food-safety procedures
  • Stock ingredients, packaging, and supplies throughout the kitchen
  • Wash dishes and maintain clean kitchen equipment
  • Sweep, mop, remove trash, and complete assigned cleaning responsibilities
  • Unload deliveries and place products in appropriate storage areas
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations
  • Communicate with Kitchen and Front of House Team Members to keep orders moving
  • Assist teammates and other areas of the restaurant when needed
Closing Responsibilities

Closing Team Members play an important role in finishing the day well and preparing the restaurant for the following morning.

As part of the closing team, you may also:

  • Break down and clean assigned kitchen stations
  • Clean and properly care for kitchen equipment
  • Wash and organize dishes, utensils, and food-preparation equipment
  • Restock products and supplies for the next business day
  • Properly store food and ingredients at the end of the shift
  • Complete assigned floors, trash, and sanitation responsibilities
  • Follow closing food-safety and equipment procedures
  • Complete assigned closing checklists
  • Help ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the opening team
Quality Matters

Our Kitchen Team Members have a direct impact on every meal we serve.

We expect Team Members to:

  • Follow recipes and preparation procedures consistently
  • Maintain correct portion sizes and product standards
  • Pay attention to cooking times, temperatures, and food quality
  • Follow food-safety, sanitation, and equipment-safety procedures
  • Work with urgency while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Keep work areas clean and organized throughout the shift
  • Handle food and restaurant equipment responsibly
  • Speak up when a product, process, or piece of equipment does not meet standards

Speed matters in our kitchen—but quality and safety should never be sacrificed for speed.

Be a Great Teammate

You don't need restaurant experience to be successful here, but you do need to be willing to learn and contribute.

We're looking for people who:

  • Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled shifts
  • Are dependable and honor the availability agreed upon at hiring
  • Work hard and stay productive throughout the shift
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude
  • Listen to coaching and apply feedback
  • Take responsibility for mistakes and work to improve
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully
  • Help teammates without always needing to be asked
  • Treat Team Members, leaders, and guests with respect
  • Stay focused during busy periods
  • Take pride in producing quality work
  • Follow restaurant policies, procedures, and safety expectations
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance
A Job Where You Can Grow

As you demonstrate reliability, performance, and a willingness to learn, you'll have opportunities to train in additional areas of the kitchen and strengthen skills in food preparation, food safety, time management, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Team Members who demonstrate strong performance, initiative, and leadership potential may also have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and pursue leadership development.
