Job summary

Cardenas Markets in Watsonville, California is seeking a Kitchen Cashier to provide friendly customer service and accurate cash handling in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will assist cooks, restock front counter utensils and drinks, take orders in person and by phone, and uphold quality, safety, and sanitation standards while delivering an exceptional shopping experience. This role requires standing and walking for long periods and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Customer Service and retail experience desirable.

• Maintains standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions and food safety;
• Assists the cooks with making specific dishes;
• Fills and re-stocks front counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks;
• Follows procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellation and all saved recall transactions;
• Responsible for personal Cashier Productivity;
• Takes food orders in person and by telephone;
• All other duties as assigned.
