Job summary

Roost invites an experienced Back of House Captain to lead the kitchen team, coaching members, upholding safety and quality, and ensuring each shift runs with excellence.

You will work closely with the Kitchen Manager, manage food prep, training, inventory support, and maintain a clean, sanitary environment while delivering consistent plates. Open availability and strong communication are essential in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as a Line Cook or kitchen leader.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support back-of-house Team Members during each shift.
• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently, and timely.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Team Members while leading by example.
• Assist with training and onboarding new Team Members.
• Monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation standards.
