Overview

The Kitchen, Bath & Lighting Store Store Manager will oversee all management and supervisory responsibilities to ensure an exceptional customer experience. This role combines contractor and retail showroom sales responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Customer Development

  • Ensure all customers receive a high-quality experience that reflects the Brand
  • Manage customer expectations effectively
  • Mentor sales staff on strategies to close quotes, including presentations, follow-up, outreach, and promotions, while balancing sales goals with margin and profitability
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively
  • Lead by example in developing client relationships, delivering superior service, and achieving sales results
  • Build strong client relationships for repeat and referral business
  • Assist customers with selecting plumbing, cabinetry, countertops, and related products
  • Visit job sites as needed to support clients
  • Participate in local business organizations
  • Maintain organized customer files and review them regularly for quality service

Team Development

  • Attract, develop, and retain high-performance talent
  • Build a network within the industry for recruiting sales staff
  • Manage onboarding and training of new hires, including role plays and interactive sessions
  • Ensure consistent application of sales processes and develop individual and team development plans
  • Review sales forecasts and coach staff to meet or exceed goals

Business Operations

  • Collaborate with leadership on coaching, development, and performance plans
  • Manage showroom pricing adjustments and display updates
  • Develop knowledge of showroom P&L
  • Oversee administrative functions, including scheduling, accounts receivable, and reporting
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment
  • Manage operating budget and sales goals
  • Coordinate with other departments and manage store relationships
  • Organize store events and marketing activities
  • Participate in the Store Manager Group and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum five years retail management experience, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • CKD or CBD certification is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD, and adaptable to new systems
