Overview

The Kitchen, Bath & Lighting Store Store Manager will oversee management and supervisory responsibilities to ensure an exceptional customer experience. This role involves both contractor and retail showroom sales responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Customer Development

• Ensure all customers receive a high-quality experience aligned with the Brand
• Manage customer expectations and provide mentorship to sales staff on strategies to close sales, including presentations, follow-up, outreach, and promotions
• Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively
• Develop personal client relationships, deliver superior service, and achieve sales results
• Establish strong relationships for repeat and referral business
• Assist customers with product selection and visit job sites as needed
• Engage in local business organizations and maintain organized customer files

Team Development

• Attract, develop, and retain high-performance talent
• Build a network for recruiting sales staff and manage onboarding and training processes
• Partner to identify development needs and develop plans for staff
• Manage performance, review forecasts, coach underperforming staff, and ensure sales goals are met

Business Operations

• Collaborate with leadership on coaching and performance improvement
• Manage showroom pricing, displays, and P&L knowledge
• Oversee administrative functions, including scheduling, account receivables, reporting, and budgeting
• Coordinate marketing, special events, and maintain positive interdepartmental relationships
• Participate in the Store Manager Group and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum five years retail management experience, or equivalent combination
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• CKD or CBD certification is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD systems; ability to learn company-specific systems
