Job summary

Legacy Kitchens and Baths is seeking a Kitchen & Bath Designer to join our Newport, KY showroom. This full-time, on-site role focuses on understanding client needs, budgets, and style preferences to translate them into detailed kitchen and bath designs.

You will develop floor plans, select cabinetry and materials, prepare quotes, and coordinate with installers to ensure precise execution. You will guide clients through product selections, present design concepts, and support the sales process

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Kitchen & Bath Design and space planning, including the ability to create functional, code-compliant, and aesthetically pleasing layouts.
• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to build rapport, listen effectively, and present design solutions clearly to diverse clients.
• Sales abilities, including consultative selling, preparing proposals, and supporting clients through the decision-making process.
• Knowledge of Cabinetry, materials, and finishes, with the ability to recommend products that align with project budgets and design goals.
• Proficiency with design software (e.g., 2020 Design, CAD, or similar tools) and basic computer skills for documentation and email communication.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in kitchen and bath design, interior design, or related fields; NKBA certification or equivalent training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand needs, budgets, and style preferences and translate into kitchen/bath designs.
• Develop floor plans and elevations; select cabinetry, materials, and finishes.
• Prepare quotes and proposals; coordinate with installers and suppliers for accurate execution.
• Guide clients through product selections and provide professional recommendations.
• Support the sales process with clear communication and showroom presentations.
• Maintain organized project documentation; follow up on orders and showroom presentation.
