Job summary

The Norfolk Companies is seeking a Technical Designer to translate concepts into precise, buildable kitchen and bath plans. You will partner with Sales Designers, verify measurements, and prepare installation packets to keep projects on track.

This role emphasizes sales collaboration, technical accuracy, and strong vendor coordination. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in kitchen/bath sales, design software expertise, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving within showroom environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in kitchen & bath, remodeling, interior design, or building materials.
• Experience with kitchen and bath design software (20/20 Design, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Strong sales, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of cabinetry, space planning, and interior design principles.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Comfortable working in a showroom environment and meeting sales goals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as HubSpot.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer homes and project sites.

Responsibilities

• Create and update kitchen and bath designs using 20/20 Design software.
• Verify measurements, appliance specifications, and cabinet layouts.
• Review vendor order acknowledgements for accuracy.
• Prepare pricing for peripheral products for ERP import.
• Assemble installation packets, drawings, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with Sales Designers, Customer Service, vendors, and installers to keep projects on track.
• Identify and resolve technical issues before they impact the customer.
