Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare in York, PA is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Worker to join our Dietary Team. You will help prepare meals, keep the kitchen clean, and support the Lead Cook to ensure smooth daily service in our inpatient treatment setting.

This role emphasizes food safety, teamwork, and reliability. You will work varied shifts, receive training as needed, and help provide nutritious meals that support clients on their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Good personal hygiene and adherence to food safety regulations.
• Willingness to learn and attend required trainings.
• Flexible schedule and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including slicing, chopping, and portioning meals.
• Prepare salads and portion desserts.
• Stock juices, milk, and other food items as needed.
• Support the Lead Cook in daily meal preparation.
• Serve meals to clients and ensure timely food service.
• Follow assigned menus while adhering to sanitary guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, serving areas, and dining areas.
• W ash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils after meals.
• Record daily temperatures of refrigeration systems and food items.
• Accept and properly check in food deliveries.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned, including sweeping and mopping.

Our facility is wholeheartedly committed to providing inpatient, residential treatment for adults who are courageously battling substance use disorders.

As a Kitchen Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive delicious and nutritious meals in a clean and welcoming environment, making a significant impact on their overall well-being and recovery journey.

Schedule:

• 6:00am - 2:00pm
• 11:00am - 7:00pm
• Weekend availability required

Hourly Rate:

$15/hour

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
