Heinen’s, Inc. in Aurora, OH is seeking a full-time Kitchen Associate to join our team. You will prepare a variety of foods, such as sandwiches and trays, following approved procedures and quality standards.

You’ll also learn and share knowledge of the Kitchen Department while maintaining food safety and temperature controls. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
  • Prepare a variety of foods, such as sandwiches, wraps, trays, according to customers’ orders.
  • Wash, peel, and cut various foods for cooking or serving.
  • Follow Heinen’s panning, packaging, and merchandising standards.
  • Acquire and share knowledge of Kitchen Department.
  • Monitor and maintain all food handling and temperature standards
  • Responsible for writing orders using effective pars and planning.
  • Responsible for working as a team in order to complete daily tasks as needed, including scanning and recording shrink, order writing (weekly and special orders), stocking, rotating and merchandising.
  • Attend required corporate meetings, vendor calls, and training classes.
  • Comply with all personal and food safety company standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be willing to work the number of hours required to meet company objectives, with the understanding that occasionally business needs will require additional time.
  • Must be willing to work the non-traditional five-day work schedule, including Saturday, Sunday and evenings.
